Residential expansion is a primary fall out of the economic growth and consistent increase in population or human settlements. Cafes such as Coffee day, Nescafe are cool hangouts of the local residents.

Malls and market are an integral part of any residential area, it does not only provide an opportunity for the customers, on the other hand also creates job opportunities for the locals residing. The Bhootnath market situated in Block B is the main market and one of the busiest. It is also referred to as Mini–Hazratganj market. Few other shopping areas include Hanuman Mandir market, Nagina Plaza, Sahara shopping center and Shivaji market.

It even offers a monthly pass for a family of four at just Rs 60/- It has swings and a sprawling green cover where children can enjoy while the adults can either relax or catch up with their brisk walk. It remains to be a valuable asset to the colony. Another park, which is much thronged by the locals, is the Arbind Park. It has a has a forty-meter jogging track. One can see all the fitness freaks hitting the tracks in the morning or evening. Both the parks have been developed and are maintained by the Uttar Pradesh Avas Vikas Parishad.

Temples at Indira Nagar

The famous Bhootnath Mandir is situated at this very locale. Other temples include Bajrang Bali Mandir, Durga Mandir, Krishna Shakti Dham and Sai Mandir. The residents contribute and involve themselves actively for the maintenance of the same.

Commuting within this residential area is an easy task. The roads are well and inter-connected. One can take the local auto-rickshaws or rickshaws to move around internally.

Indira Nagar of Lucknow, is a social and residential zone with a high degree of convenience in terms of accessibility, landscaping, shops, improved amenity, infrastructure, workplace and entertainment.
