The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)  was set up the Government of India to investigate any case related to corruption and bribery, major frauds relating to Government of India departments, violation of Central fiscal laws, public joint stock companies, serious crimes committed by organised gangs and professional criminals, passport frauds, crimes on the Airlines and crimes on the high seas. The CBI consist of an anti-corruption division and investigation, legal and general division, a technical division, and statistics division, an administration division and crime records. The organization is headed by a Director who is assisted by special directors, ACBs and ACs.

Bureau of India Standards


The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) oversees the development of activities which include standardization, marking and quality certification of goods and matters connected with those functions. These extend to standards formulation, product certification, laboratory services, consumer related activities, promotional activities, training, information dissemination and mobilization of financial resources. Apart from its headquarters in New Delhi, the BIS maintains regional offices and branch offices.

Central Administrative Tribunal


The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) deals with the adjudication of disputes connected with recruitment, conditions of appointments of public service and posts with the government of India, state or local authorities. The CAT was set up to expedite such matters and provide relief to those concerned. Its chairman is a sitting or retired judge of a High Court. Also on the panel are 16 vice-chairmen and 49 members.

Directorate of Tourism


The Directorate of Tourism is the Uttar Pradesh government’s tourism department tasked with the job of promoting the state and developing various tourists’ circuits. It has identified the circuits of Braj-Agra, Awadh-Ayodhya, Allahabad-Varanasi and the Buddhist circuit for further development. Lucknow draws a large number of tourists and plays a vital role in the state’s tourism. The state’s tourism policy lays emphasis on development of tourism as an important industry by improving the quality of services and infrastructure in various tourist spots.

Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation


The Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation (UPPC) is a public utility tasked with the role of supplying reliable and cost efficient electricity to every citizen of Uttar Pradesh. It is headed by a Chairman and Managing Director who is assisted by an Assistant Managing Director who has under him various regional and local heads. The UPPC’s mandate is to attract private investments, promote competition and efficiency and facilitate sustainable development of the power sector. The state government’s reform programme envisages itself withdrawing from the power sector as owner, operator and regulator of the utilities and to have commercially operated utilities functioning in a competitive and appropriately regulated power market.

Lucknow Jal Sansthan


The Lucknow Jal Sansthan provides water supply and sewerage services to the residents of Lucknow. It operates and maintains head works for water supply and distribution of drinking water to households and public conveniences. It also creates awareness of water conservation methods such as rainwater harvesting.

    I AM NOT ABLE TO GET EMAIL/ MOB OF NAGAR NIGAM LUCKNOW AS GIVEN IN NEWS PAOER I have to notify that pre monsoon cleaning of drains have not been done in Aliganj.So that there is danger of water holding on roads .so there shall be damGe of roads snd inconvenience to residents.pl take action .THANKS.
